The Nigerian Journal of Basic and Clinical Sciences (NJBCS)

is a peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary scientific journal published on behalf of the College of Health Sciences, Bayero University, Kano, Nigeria.
The journal provides a credible and reputable platform for the dissemination of high-quality, evidence-based, and impactful research across all disciplines of the health sciences. Its primary mission is to promote the advancement of biomedical knowledge and clinical practice in Nigeria, Africa, and the global scientific community.

The journal also serves as a forum for announcing academic meetings, symposia, recent book releases, and updates on scientific innovations, both in Africa and internationally.
The journal currently publishes two issues per year (June and December). However, in response to its growing readership, increasing submission volume, and expanding regional visibility, plans are underway to increase publication frequency to three issues annually in future volumes.
NJBCS enjoys a diverse readership and authorship base, including academics, clinicians, biomedical researchers, and postgraduate trainees within Nigeria, across Africa, and the global diaspora. Its articles are frequently cited and accessed through online databases and institutional repositories, reflecting its emerging leadership role in advancing health sciences scholarship in West Africa.

Subscription Information
Printed copies of NJBCS are distributed free of charge to the Bayero University Library and the academic community of the College of Health Sciences.
Annual Subscription Rates (Two Issues Per Year):

Claims for missing issues must be made within 60 days (domestic) or 90 days (international) of the publication date.
